The homeowners wanted a getaway home in Crossville, TN. They wanted a place built for vacations, not everyday routines. So they turned to East Tennessee Contractors to design and build a 4,200 square foot retreat. East Tennessee Contractors shaped every room around that single goal, easy, elegant time away.

A Barndominium Built for Getaway Living

Dark metal siding and a crisp standing seam roof give the exterior a clean, modern-barn profile. Inside, tongue-and-groove ceilings vault overhead in the great room. A 16-foot western glider door slides the whole wall open to the back porch. Cable railing lines the staircase, the upstairs catwalk, and the covered deck above, tying every level together. The kitchen carries that same confidence, quartz countertops, black cabinetry, and brass pendant lighting over an oversized island.

Four Bedrooms, Five and a Half Baths, Room to Spread Out

The homeowners needed enough space to host family and friends comfortably. So East Tennessee Contractors planned four bedrooms and five and a half baths across the home. Several bathrooms include walk-in tile showers and freestanding soaking tubs. Upstairs, the primary suite sits behind its own catwalk, private but still connected to the great room below. Outside, a see-through gas fireplace with a stone facade anchors the back porch. An inground pool with paver hardscape gives the property its own resort feel.

Two Structures, One Job Site

This project wasn’t just a house. East Tennessee Contractors also supplied, erected, and poured the concrete for a 40-foot by 84-foot steel building elsewhere on the property. That building gives the homeowners covered space for equipment and storage, separate from the home itself. Handling both structures in house let the same crew carry one standard of work across the entire property.
