The Powers family imagined life along the golf course in Fairfield Glade, Crossville, Tennessee. They wanted an outdoor space that could go either way. Private on a quiet evening. Open when neighbors and golfers passed by. East Tennessee Contractors built that outdoor living space onto the back of their existing home, sized for year-round use in every season.

An Outdoor Living Space in Fairfield Glade Built for Every Season

The homeowners wanted a covered space that felt like an extension of the house, not just a patio. So East Tennessee Contractors framed the addition with traditional construction and topped it with a standing seam metal roof. Stained tongue-and-groove ceilings added a finished look overhead. Stamped, colored concrete became the new outdoor floor, so the space reads as an intentional room instead of an afterthought.

Privacy That Adjusts With a Motorized Screen

The home sits along the golf course, so the Powers family needed privacy they could control, not a fixed wall. East Tennessee Contractors installed a motorized screen system instead. Now the homeowners can open the space up or close it off in seconds. Exterior lighting and an integrated audio system also went in, so the space works for a quiet morning or an evening with friends. Golfers on the course never become part of the view unless the family wants them to be.

A Luxury Space Built to Last

At about 500 square feet, the finished addition gives the Powers family a true four-season room. They don’t have to sacrifice the golf course view they bought the home for.
