Client Goals:

Ms. Teressa came to us with a vision: bring the rustic warmth of Texas to the rolling hills of Tennessee. She had high standards and a sharp eye for quality. Our job was to take that vision and turn it into a home that felt like her—rooted in Southern charm, built with precision, and filled with meaningful details.

About This Project:

At East Tennessee Contractors, every custom home build tells a story and Crestwood Drive is one we’re proud to share. Designed, drafted, and constructed entirely by our in-house team, this custom home captures the rustic charm of Texas with the expert craftsmanship Tennessee families have come to expect from East TN Contractors.

Project Goals for a Custom Home in Tennessee

Ms. Teressa came to us with a strong vision. She wasn’t just building a house, she was building a forever home. She wanted something with soul that only a true custom home can encapsulate. Something that honored her Texas roots but also felt at home in Tennessee’s rolling hills. She expected excellence, and East Tennessee Contractors were honored to deliver it.

Building a Custom Home with Texas Soul

With just over 1,700 square feet of conditioned living space, this two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom home packs a lot into a smart, personalized layout. Every inch was thoughtfully designed to reflect both function and personality.

You’re greeted by a custom herringbone fireplace made of stone—anchoring the space with warmth and texture. The ceilings are clad in blue pine, a unique touch that adds depth and character. Loft space above adds extra breathing room without compromising the cozy feel.

Large picture windows bring in natural light while framing views of the countryside. Timber beams give structure and soul, while cattle panel handrails give the home a signature ranch-style finish that nods to its Texas inspiration.

Long-Term Comfort and Durability

We used materials and systems that prioritize long-term comfort and durability. The home features insulated shake and standard siding, zip system sheathing, and a crinkle black metal roof designed to withstand Tennessee weather with style.

Traditional wood decking and skirting give the exterior a grounded, finished look, while the stamped concrete patio offers a low-maintenance outdoor retreat for entertaining or relaxing.

More Than a Contractor

What makes East Tennessee Contractors custom home building different? Our process. Because we design, draft, and build everything in-house, clients like Ms. Teressa work with one team from start to finish. No confusion, no handoffs, no surprises. Just a unified vision carried out with precision and care.

Our in-house licensed mechanical team also handled all HVAC and plumbing installations—ensuring quality, efficiency, and code compliance throughout.

At ETC, we know how important trust is when choosing a contractor. We don’t just build homes, we build relationships. For us, it’s about more than blueprints and finishes. It’s about listening, solving problems, and delivering exactly what we promise.

Working with Ms. Teressa was a joy and the end result is a home that’s both timeless and truly hers.
