At East Tennessee Contractors, Crestwood Drive is a build we’re proud to share. We designed, drafted, and built this custom home with one team from start to finish, pairing the rustic character of Texas with the craftsmanship families across East and middle Tennessee have come to expect from ETC.
Project Goals for a Custom Home in Tennessee
Ms. Teressa came to us with a strong vision. She wasn’t building a house — she was building a forever home, and she wanted a design with character that only a true custom build delivers. Her brief called for a home that honored her Texas roots while sitting comfortably in Tennessee’s rolling hills. She expected excellence, and East Tennessee Contractors were honored to deliver it.
Building a Custom Home with Texas Character
With just over 1,700 square feet of conditioned living space, this two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom home packs a lot into a smart, personalized layout. We designed every inch around both function and personality.
The custom herringbone stone fireplace anchors the main space with warmth and texture. We clad the ceilings in blue pine, a distinctive touch that adds depth and character. A loft above the main level adds breathing room without costing the home its cozy scale.
Large picture windows pull in natural light and frame views of the countryside. Timber beams carry the structure and set the tone of the interior, while cattle panel handrails deliver the signature ranch-style finish Ms. Teressa’s Texas inspiration called for.
Long-Term Comfort and Durability
We chose materials and systems that prioritize long-term comfort and durability. The home features insulated shake and standard siding, Zip System sheathing, and a crinkle black metal roof built to take Tennessee weather without losing its edge.
Traditional wood decking and skirting give the exterior a grounded, finished look, and the stamped concrete patio adds low-maintenance outdoor space that holds up year-round.
More Than a Contractor
What makes East Tennessee Contractors different? Our process. Because we design, draft, and build under one roof, clients like Ms. Teressa work with one team from start to finish. No confusion, no handoffs, no surprises — just a unified vision carried out with precision and care. Where a build calls for specialty work, we bring in craftsmen who do nothing else and coordinate every detail ourselves.
Our in-house licensed mechanical team handled all HVAC and plumbing installations, which kept quality, efficiency, and code compliance under our control throughout.
At ETC, we know how important trust is when choosing a contractor. We don’t just build homes — we build relationships. It’s about more than blueprints and finishes. It’s about listening, solving problems, and delivering exactly what we promise.
Working with Ms. Teressa was a joy, and the finished home is both timeless and truly hers.
