Family Time Wedding Venue

The Project

The Rysavy family wanted a business they could run for life, built on their own property in Crossville, Tennessee. We designed and built Family Time Wedding Venue — a 5,700+ sq ft wedding and event center with more than 5,000 sq ft of interior space plus a large outdoor deck, sized to host weddings, corporate events, and community gatherings for up to 240 guests.

Warm Like a Home, Built Like a Business

The family was clear about one thing: no generic event hall. The main hall carries 16-foot vaulted ceilings and more than 30 fixed-pane windows, so the room feels grand and stays full of natural light. Outside, board and batten siding over 4-foot stone wainscoting gives the building a classic look that reads “destination,” not “building rental.” We build both custom homes and commercial projects, and this venue needed both skill sets — residential warmth carried on a commercial frame.

The Engineering Guests Never See

A venue earns its keep in the systems behind the finish work. We engineered the structure for large-crowd loads, installed commercial Lennox HVAC to hold comfortable temperatures in every season, and sized the septic system for 240 people — the unglamorous detail that decides how big an event the business can legally host. Stained and polished concrete floors take years of chairs, spills, and rearranged tables. His-and-her dressing rooms give wedding parties room to get ready, and a full working kitchen and serving area keep caterers on schedule.

The Result

Couples in Cumberland County now have a wedding venue close to home instead of a drive to a bigger city, and the Rysavy family has a working business on their own land — home, work, and community tied together on one property.
