When Druid Hills Golf Course wanted a place where players could train year-round, they turned to East Tennessee Contractors to bring that vision to life. The result is the Fairfield Golf Performance Center in Crossville, TN, a 2,600-square-foot indoor/outdoor practice facility built for serious golfers and everyday players alike.

The Project

Crossville calls itself the golf capital of Tennessee, and Druid Hills Golf Course wanted its players training through all four seasons — not just the pleasant ones. We designed and built the Fairfield Golf Performance Center, a 2,600 sq ft indoor/outdoor practice facility that sits directly on the driving range.

Hit Inside, Watch It Fly Outside

The building holds two TrackMan training bays, planned from the slab up around the systems — the clearances, power, and data connections all sized for them. Golfers dial in club path, ball speed, and spin rate indoors. When they want real ball flight, the roll-up doors open straight onto the Druid Hills range: turf under their feet, full flight in view, roof still overhead. We set the sightlines, ceiling heights, and bay spacing around a golf swing, so there’s room to swing safely, room to coach, and room to add more players.

Finished Like a Clubhouse, Built for the Plateau

A training building at a premier course can’t look like a shed beside the fairway. We paired a standing seam metal roof and Hardie board siding with cedar tongue-and-groove porch ceilings and stone wainscoting that ties the building into the course. We build both custom homes and commercial projects, and this one shows why that range matters — commercial durability carrying residential-grade finish work. Insulated walls and weather-tight details let the building open up on mild days and seal tight when Cumberland County weather turns.
